Abstract
Provided are: a ferrite stainless hot-rolled steel sheet which has sufficient corrosion resistance, and in which the occurrence of cracking is inhibited when the steel sheet is punched into a thick flange; and a production method for said steel sheet. This ferrite stainless hot-rolled steel sheet has a compositional makeup containing, in mass%, 0.001-0.020% of C, 0.05-1.00% of Si, 0.05-1.00% of Mn, 0.04% or less of P, 0.01% or less of S, 0.001-0.50% of Al, 0.001-0.020% of N, 11.0-24.0% of Cr, 0.01-2.00% of Ni, and 0.12-0.80% of Nb, the remaining portion being Fe and incidental impurities, wherein the critical stress intensity factor KIC of the steel sheet is 25 MPa·m1/2 or more.
