Abstract
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a steel sheet for crown caps which has sufficient pressure resistance and formability even if reduced in thickness; a method for producing the steel sheet for crown caps; and a crown cap. The present invention provides a steel sheet for crown caps, wherein the steel sheet has a predetermined component composition, the value of N total - (N as AlN) is 0.0090 to 0.0170%, the maximum particle size of a carbide in a rolling-direction cross section is 2.0 µm or less, and the yield strength in the rolling direction is 420 to 600 MPa. The present invention also provides a method for producing a steel sheet for crown caps comprising: a hot rolling step of winding a steel material having a predetermined component composition at a predetermined temperature after finish rolling; a primary cold rolling step; a continuous annealing step of heating at an average heating rate of 10°C/s to 30°C/s in a temperature range A of 500 to 600°C in a heating process, annealing at an annealing temperature B in a temperature range of 620 to 740°C, cooling from the annealing temperature B to a cooling stop temperature C in a temperature range of 400 to 580°C at an average cooling rate of 20°C/s or more, and setting the time of residence in the temperature range of 400 to 580°C after stopping cooling at the average cooling rate to 30 to 90 seconds; and a secondary cold rolling step of cold rolling at a rolling reduction ratio of 1.0 to 12%.
