Abstract
Se provee un método para inhibir la corrosión de una superficie de metal corrosible que entra en contacto con el agua en un sistema fluvial; el método puede incluir introducir en el agua una composición de tratamiento que incluye un compuesto de triazol halogenado ex-situ en una cantidad suficiente para inhibir la corrosión; se provee también un método para medir una concentración del compuesto de triazol halogenado ex-situ en el agua en un sistema fluvial; el método puede incluir inducir a que el compuesto de triazol halogenado emita fluorescencia y medir una intensidad de la fluorescencia emitida del agua para determinar la concentración del compuesto de triazol halogenado en el agua; la concentración del triazol halogenado puede ser monitoreada y controlada; la concentración del triazol halogenado puede ser ajustada a un nivel deseado con base en el valor de fluorescencia medido.
