907,793. Preventing corrosion. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Nov. 28, 1960 [Dec. 4, 1959], No. 41245/59. Class 123 (1). [Also in Group XVII] A method of inhibiting corrosion of copper or its alloys, comprises condensing benzotriazole vapour on its surface. The metal may be degreased in chilled trichlorethylene and then suspended in an atmosphere saturated with the vapour, the latter being maintained at about 85‹ C. The chilling facilitates rapid condensation.
