Abstract
Para posibilitar una comunicación de video HDR de alta calidad, que pueda funcionar enviando las correspondientes imágenes LDR potencialmente por medio de tecnologías establecidas de comunicación de video LDR, la cual funciona bien en situaciones prácticas, el solicitante ha inventado un decodificador de video HDR (600, 1100) dispuesto para calcular una imagen HDR (Im_RHDR) con base en aplicar a una imagen recibida de intervalo dinámico estándar de 100 candelas por metro cuadrado (100 nit) (Im_RLDR) a un conjunto de funciones de transformación de luminancias 5, las funciones comprenden al menos un mapeo aproximado de luminancia (FC), el cual se aplica mediante un optimizador de intervalo dinámico (603), y un mapeo del valor más oscuro (0) de una luma intermedia (Y´HPS), que es la salida del optimizador de intervalo dinámico, a un valor compensado negro recibido (Bk_off) mediante un extensor de intervalo (604), el decodificador de video comprende un limitador de ganancia (611, 1105) dispuesto para aplicar una función alternativa de transformación de luminancias para 10 calcular un subconjunto (502) de las luminancias más oscuras de la imagen HDR, a partir de las correspondientes lumas más oscuras (Y´_en) de la imagen de intervalo dinámico estándar.
