Abstract
Se describe un sistema de monitoreo de seguridad de freno de tren a borde, inteligente, y acción de falla. El sistema compara el funcionamiento de freno de tren dinámico medido usando un sistema de control de tren a bordo como por ejemplo el sistema LEADERMR. Usando el funcionamiento de freno de tren dinámico medido, el sistema de monitoreo de freno puede determinar si el tren es capaz de detenerse dentro de una distancia requerida particular, tal como una distancia de alto establecida por el sistema de control de tren positivo en el cual el tren está participando. La capacidad en funcionamiento para satisfacer los criterios de frenado externos, como por ejemplo el cumplimiento con distancias de alto de control de tren positivo, se pueden usar para extender el intervalo entre cualquier inspección de freno de tren obligatoria y pruebas.
