Abstract
Un módulo de comunicación utiliza información recibida desde un módulo de metrología dentro del mismo dispositivo de red e información acerca de las propiedades del módulo de metrología específico, tal como capacidad de suministro y volumen de pulso, para determinar cuando exista una condición de error. El módulo de comunicación acumula pulsos durante un intervalo de acumulación y compara el número de pulsos acumulados durante el intervalo de acumulación con un umbral de número de pulsos para determinar si existe una condición de error. Si hay una condición de error, entonces el módulo de comunicación genera una alerta y puede transmitir la alerta sin esperar una comunicación programada.
