Abstract
La presente descripción está dirigida a un sistema de obtención de imágenes por ultrasonido con un adelantador de aguja integrado. El sistema incluye una sonda de ultrasonido que tiene un alojamiento del transductor y un transmisor del transductor. El alojamiento tiene un cuerpo que se extiende desde un extremo proximal hacia un extremo distal a lo largo de un eje longitudinal. El extremo distal incluye una cavidad interna que se extiende, al menos, desde un primer lado hacia un segundo lado a lo largo de un eje lateral del alojamiento. El transmisor se monta al primer y el segundo lado dentro de la cavidad interna y se configura para girar alrededor del eje lateral para escanear un haz de ultrasonido. De esta manera, durante la operación, el transmisor es libre de girar en dirección de las manecillas del reloj y/o en dirección contraria a las manecillas del reloj alrededor del eje lateral con el fin de escanear continuamente imágenes en dos dimensiones (2D). El sistema puede incluir también un controlador que se configura para recibir y organizar las imágenes 2D en tiempo real y generar una imagen en tres dimensiones (3D) con base en las imágenes 2D.
