Abstract

Se pueden formar materiales bidimensionales en recintos para varias sustancias y se puede proveer una capa de sustrato en la parte exterior e interior del recinto, en donde el recinto no es citotóxico. Una o más sustancias dentro del recinto pueden ser liberadas al medio, una o más sustancias seleccionadas pueden entrar del medio al recinto, una o más sustancias del medio pueden ser restringidas de entrar al recinto, una o más sustancias pueden ser retenidas dentro del recinto, o combinaciones de las mismas. El recinto puede por ejemplo, permitir un paradigma de respuesta sensorial se lleva a cabo. El recinto puede, por ejemplo, proveer inmunoaislamiento de materiales, como lo son las células vivas retenidas en el mismo.
