Abstract

Composiciones útiles para bandas de transmisión de potencia o mangueras que utilizan fibras de refuerzo celulósicas respetuosas con el medio ambiente. Las composiciones elastoméricas o de caucho incluyen un elastómero base, polivinilpirrolidona, una fibra celulósica y un agente de curado. El elastómero base puede ser uno o más seleccionados entre elastómeros de etileno, elastómeros de nitrilo y elastómeros de policloropreno. El elastómero puede ser un elastómero de etileno-alfa-olefina. La polivinilpirrolidona puede estar presente en una cantidad de 5 a 50 partes en peso por cien partes del elastómero. La fibra celulósica puede ser una o más seleccionadas entre kenaf, yute, cáñamo, lino, ramio, sisal, madera, rayón, acetato, triacetato y algodón. La fibra celulósica, puede ser una fibra de líber. La fibra celulósica está presente en una cantidad de 1 a 50 partes en peso por cien partes del elastómero.
