Abstract
Un aparato para cirugía ocular láser comprende un módulo láser (12), que está preparado para emitir radiación láser pulsada y concentrada con una tasa variable de repetición de pulsos; y una unidad de control basada en procesadores (18), que está preparada para recibir al menos una entrada de usuario, referente a una selección de una entre varias tasas de repetición de pulsos predefinidas de una entrada de usuario, y para controlar el módulo láser de acuerdo con la o las tasas de repetición de pulsos seleccionadas. En ciertas realizaciones específicas, la interfaz de usuario facilita la introducción de dos entradas de usuario, cada una de las cuales está relacionada con una selección de una entre varias tasas de repetición de pulsos predefinidas. La unidad de control controla el módulo láser durante una primera fase de tratamiento láser, de acuerdo con una de las dos entradas de usuario, y durante una segunda fase del tratamiento láser, esta controla el módulo láser de acuerdo con la otra de las dos entradas de usuario. Por ejemplo, dichas realizaciones específicas permiten realizar una ablación de tejido epitelial con una tasa de repetición de pulsos diferente a la de una ablación de tejido del estroma, como parte de una queratectomía transepitelial en un ojo humano.
