Abstract

La presente invención proporciona aquí métodos para producir (+)-manool que comprenden: poner en contacto el difosfato de geranilgeranilo con una difosfato de copalilo (CPP) sintasa para formar un difosfato de (9S,10S)-copalilo en donde la CPP sintasa comprende una secuencia de aminoácidos que tiene al menos 90 %, 95 %, 98 %, 99 y 100 % de identidad de la secuencia con un polipéptido seleccionado del grupo que consiste de la SEC ID NO:1 y la SEC ID NO:2; y poner en contacto el CPP con una enzima de esclareol sintasa para formar el (+)-manool.
