Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una composición de caucho que incluye caucho de Guayule y de 15 a 90 phr de sílice. El caucho puede ser cis-1,4-poliisopreno e incluir de 15 a 90 phr de sílice y contener menos de 20% de las proteínas asociadas con el caucho de Hevea, y además puede incluir por lo menos una cantidad traza de resinas presentes en otros cauchos naturales. El caucho puede ser cis-1,4-poliisopreno e incluir además una cantidad de entre por lo menos una traza y 3% en peso de las resinas presentes en el caucho de Guayule. La composición de caucho puede estar comprendida además de un caucho sintético y puede incluir entre aproximadamente 40 y 100 phr de caucho de Guayule, y sílice. El sílice puede ser sílice hidrófobo.
