Abstract

Se describen partículas tipo virus con dsRNA encapsidado que presentan una estructura con morfologías esféricas y nanotubulares, y que se componen de una cápside formada por proteínas estructurales de un virus que infecta plantas y un dsRNA de doble cadena de entre 20 y 10´000 pares de bases de longitud. Se describe su uso como vector para el transporte de dsRNA a células blanco con la finalidad de bloquear la expresión de genes. Se describe además el método in vitro de encapsidación del dsRNA de longitud variable dentro de cápsides de virus de plantas (VLPs) compuesto por tres etapas: de purificación, ensamblaje y estabilización.
