Abstract

Una transmisión variable continua incluye un primer eje conectado de forma que se pueda accionar a una central eléctrica y con un primer par de discos de polea, y un segundo eje con un segundo par de discos de polea. Un miembro de tensión está conectado con el primer y segundo par de discos de modo que la energía se pueda transmitir entre el primer y el segundo eje. Un tercer eje se conecta de forma que se pueda accionar selectivamente con el segundo eje mediante un embrague. El embrague incluye un anillo interno sujeto a uno del segundo y tercer eje, y un anillo externo sujeto a un engranaje y con una superficie interna que circunscribe el anillo interno.
