Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para preparar una espuma sintáctica que comprende las siguientes etapas: a) mezclar en conjunto una cantidad determinada de un monómero o prepolímero de resina líquida curable y un iniciador de polimerización para obtener una resina líquida curable operable; b) mezclar a un intervalo de temperatura determinada la resina líquida curable operable con una cantidad determinada de al menos un tipo de microelementos de baja densidad, dichos microelementos que están comprendidos en una esfera que tiene un diámetro comprendido de 1 pm a 1 mm y que son introducidos continuamente en la resina líquida curable operable y con un caudal volumétrico y/o másico constante, limitando al mismo tiempo la rotura de microelementos; c) homogeneizar a un intervalo de temperatura determinadas y desgasificar la mezcla de resina líquida curable operable y microelementos para obtener una espuma sintáctica intermedia; d) colar a un intervalo de temperatura determinada, la espuma sintáctica intermedia en un contenedor que comprende opcionalmente una cantidad determinada de macroelementos comprendida en una esfera de un diámetro comprendido de 1 mm a 10 cm; y e) endurecer la resina líquida curable operable; en donde la temperatura se regula, en una o más de las etapas a) a e), para controlar y limitar el pico exotérmico durante la etapa e), obteniendo de este modo la espuma sintáctica dentro del contenedor. La presente invención también se refiere a un proceso para fabricar un material de flotabilidad que comprende una cubierta externa y una espuma sintáctica. La invención se refiere también a una espuma sintáctica obtenible mediante un proceso de la invención y a un material de flotabilidad que comprende una espuma sintáctica que puede obtenerse mediante el proceso. La invención se refiere también a un proceso de extracción submarina de petróleo que comprende la etapa de usar el sintáctico y a un oleoducto de extracción submarina que comprende un oleoducto y la espuma sintáctica o el material de flotabilidad.
