Abstract

Se proporciona una partícula de pigmento orgánico que tiene un núcleo y una cubierta que rodea al núcleo, en donde la cubierta contiene una partícula separadora mejoradora de carga polimerizada, la cual es un copolímero de un agente de control de carga y un monómero. Se describe un método para la elaboración de partículas de pigmento orgánico que incluye conformar una suspensión al unir por mezclado una primera emulsión que contiene una resina, opcionalmente una cera, opcionalmente un colorante, opcionalmente un tensioactivo, opcionalmente un coagulante y uno o más aditivos opcionales adicionales; calentar la suspensión para formar partículas agregadas en la suspensión, formar una segunda emulsión que contiene un monómero y agente de control de carga, polimerizar la segunda emulsión para formar un copolímero del monómero y el agente de control de carga e incorporar el copolímero y las partículas de pigmento orgánico, en donde las partículas agregadas forman un núcleo de las partículas de pigmento orgánico.
