Abstract

Se proporciona un freno de tambor que mejora la dirección de las fuerzas de accionamiento para reducir la tensión, mejorar la eficiencia y permitir forros de freno más gruesos. Primera y segunda zapatas de freno tienen cada una un primer extremo acoplado de forma pivotante a los mismos o diferentes pasadores de anclaje en una cruceta de freno. Primero y segundo seguidores de leva están dispuestos en segundos extremos correspondientes de las zapatas de freno. Una leva acopla los seguidores de leva con el movimiento de la leva haciendo que las zapatas de freno se muevan entre posiciones de acoplamiento y desacoplamiento con una superficie de frenado. Los seguidores de leva están desplazados de tal manera que las distancias entre los centros de los primeros seguidores de leva y el pasador de anclaje que soporta las zapatas de freno difiere para mejorar la dirección del vector de fuerza de leva.
