Abstract

Se describe un proceso novedoso para la preparacion de L - treo - dihidroxifeniloserina (Droxidopa). Comprende la hidrolisis enantioselectiva de (DL) - treo - N - acetilo - 3 - (3,4 - metilenedioxifenilo) - serina racemica usando L - amino acilasa de Aspergillus sp. Comercialmente disponible (EC 3.5.1.14) en presencia de iones de cobalto, para obtener (L) - treo - 3 - (3,4 - metilenedioxifenilo) - serina seguido de desalquilacion para obtener Droxidopa. La proteccion del grupo amino de (L) - treo - 3 - (3,4 - metilenedioxifenilo) - serina usando o bien benciloxicarbonilo o bien grupo ftaloil antes de desalquilacion seguido de desproteccion del grupo amino tiene como resultado la obtencion de Droxidopa en altos rendimientos y pureza.
