Abstract

La invención se refiere a un estimador de ruido de fondo y un método en el mismo, para la estimación del ruido de fondo en una señal de audio. El método comprende obtener al menos un parámetro asociado con un segmento de señal de audio, tal como un cuadro o parte de un cuadro, sobre la base de una primera ganancia de predicción lineal, calculada como un cociente entre una señal residual a partir de una predicción lineal de orden O y una señal residual a partir de una predicción lineal de segundo orden para el segmento de señal de audio; y una segunda ganancia de predicción lineal calculada como un cociente entre una señal residual a partir de una predicción lineal de segundo orden y una señal residual a partir de una predicción lineal de orden 16 para el segmento de señal de audio. El método comprende además determinar sí el segmento de señal de audio que comprende una pausa basada al menos en el obtenido al menos un parámetro; y, actualizar una estimación de ruido de fondo basada en el segmento de señal de audio cuando el segmento de señal de audio comprende una pausa.
