Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para depositar una capa de dióxido de silicio (3, 3') sobre un material de soporte (2, 2') combustible y/o, en particular, fácilmente inflamable para la formación de un envase (1, 1'), en particular adecuado para productos alimentarios, con las siguientes etapas, en particular, con la siguiente secuencia: - recubrimiento del material de soporte (2, 2') con una solución de precursor de dióxido de silicio preparada disolviendo un silicato, en particular, oligomérico, preferentemente un homopolímero de éster tetrametílico del ácido silícico, en un disolvente, teniendo dicha solución de precursor de dióxido de silicio un contenido de agua del < 5 % en volumen y - endurecimiento de la solución de precursor de dióxido de silicio y, por tanto, formación de la capa de dióxido de silicio (3, 3') sobre el material de soporte (2, 2') en una atmósfera de amoníaco al menos parcialmente en forma de vapor a: a) una temperatura entre 5 °C y 30 °C y/o b) una presión entre 900 MPa y 1200 MPa.
