Un método para medir el daño térmico de las fibras de queratina que comprende eluir un péptido a partir de una muestra de cabello con una solución acuosa; extraer el péptido con el uso de una muestra de disolvente adecuada; analizar las muestras de péptido con MALDI-MS; lo que da lugar a los resultados de los péptidos; identificar la presencia de un péptido marcador e identificar la relación m/z para el péptido.
