Abstract

Se describe un método para sujetar medios de acoplamiento a extremos (25, 26) respectivos de tubos (10, 12) que se van a unir conjuntamente, que comprende un par de carcasas cónicas (18, 22) mutuamente telescópicas en dirección axial que se insertan, una en cada extremo de tubo, conforme el par de carcasas cónicas se empujan mutuamente de manera conjunta con la ayuda de cuerpos (14, 16) de apriete respectivos de manera que la carcasa (18) radialmente externa comprime la carcasa (22) interior en una sujeción contra la superficie del tubo (10, 12) y une los extremos de tubos, de manera que se logra una unión conjunta apretada entre los extremos (25, 26) de los tubos (10, 12) y se caracteriza porque se utiliza una carcasa cónica interna (22) que está dividida en un número de secciones de ranuras (30) dirigidas axialmente a través de la pared de la carcasa, dichas ranuras (30) contribuyen a que la carcasa interna sea capaz de ser forzada radialmente hacia dentro durante el cierre simultáneo de las ranuras (30) y de manera que el interior de la carcasa cónica interna sea forzado hacia una sujeción contra la superficie del tubo durante el empuje mutuo conjunto de las carcasas. Se describen también una construcción de acoplamiento y una aplicación de ésta.
