Abstract
Un dispositivo de control 12 adquiere una imagen auto-luminosa de una tubería de acero capturada cuando la tubería de acero está caliente, corrige la imagen auto-luminosa al homogeneizar variación de luminancia en la dirección circunferencial de la imagen auto-luminosa, y detecta un defecto de superficie con base en la imagen auto-luminosa corregida. La velocidad de reducción de diámetro aplicada por el reductor para la tubería de acero preferiblemente es igual a o mayor que 110%. La variación de luminancia en la dirección circunferencial de la imagen auto-luminosa es homogeneizada al utilizar una distribución de luminancia en la dirección circunferencial en donde se promedia la luminancia en la dirección longitudinal de la tubería de acero. La variación de luminancia en la dirección circunferencial de la imagen auto-luminosa puede ser homogeneizada al utilizar una diferencia en la luminancia entre una pluralidad de imágenes auto-luminosas capturadas con la posición en la dirección longitudinal de la tubería de acero cambiada.
