Abstract
Se describen dispositivos y métodos para la medición de la tasa de sedimentación de componentes sanguíneos formados. Algunos de los métodos pueden utilizar (1) técnicas centrífugas para separar los glóbulos rojos del plasma y (2) vídeo y/o la capacidad de formación de imágenes fijas. Ambos pueden utilizarse solos o en combinación para acelerar la sedimentación del componente sanguíneo formado y medir su tasa. En un ejemplo, el método puede permitir ventajosamente la medición rápida de la tasa de sedimentación utilizando pequeños volúmenes de muestra sanguínea.
