Abstract
Un sistema de rayos X (2) para adquirir una imagen de un objeto tiene un detector de rayos X (8), el cual se segmenta en una pluralidad de mosaicos adyacentes del detector. En particular, la imagen puede ser una imagen de proyección bidimensional pero también un volumen tridimensional del objeto reconstruido a partir de una adquisición de tomosíntesis. Un mecanismo para mover el detector de rayos X (18) se adapta para mover el detector de rayos X (8) por lo menos entre una primera posición del detector de rayos X y una segunda posición del detector de rayos X durante la operación del sistema de rayos X. Una fuente de rayos X (4), un colimador (22) y el detector de rayos X (8) del sistema de rayos X (2) se adaptan para adquirir una pluralidad de imágenes parciales de rayos X a través de los mosaicos adyacentes del detector mientras que la irradia el objeto con haces de rayos X desde una pluralidad de ángulos tomográficos a. La unidad de procesamiento se adaptada para generar un ángulo bidimensional del objeto y/o para reconstruir un volumen tridimensional del objeto a partir de las imágenes parciales adquiridas.
