Abstract

Un dispositivo para adaptar un manifiesto recibido desde al menos un servidor y asociado con un contenido multimedia solicitado por una terminal de cliente, dicho manifiesto comprendiendo una lista de representaciones de dicho contenido multimedia, que comprende: - un módulo (13) configurado para interceptar dicho manifiesto; - un estimador (14) configurado para estimar la tasa de datos que se puede lograr de al menos una parte de la trayectoria entre la terminal de cliente y dicho servidor; - un módulo (15) configurado para seleccionar, entre las representaciones enlistadas de dicho manifiesto interceptado, una representación que tenga una tasa de bits asociada menor que o igual a la tasa de datos que se puede lograr estimada; - un módulo (16) configurado para entregar a la terminal de cliente un manifiesto adaptado, en donde la representación seleccionada es recomendada.
