Abstract
Un dispositivo de almacenamiento de energía comprende un condensador que tiene un dieléctrico entre electrodos opuestos y un revestimiento no conductor entre al menos un electrodo y el dieléctrico. El revestimiento no conductor permite que se empleen voltajes muy superiores a los EDLC tradicionales, lo cual incrementa significativamente la energía almacenada en el condensador. La viscosidad del material dieléctrico puede incrementarse o disminuirse de una manera controlada, tal como en respuesta a un estímulo externo aplicado, para controlar la descarga y el almacenamiento durante periodos prolongados de tiempo.
