Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a poliestirenos de alto impacto y polímeros aromáticos de monovinilo relacionados, que tienen, en general, un módulo alto o una buena resistencia al agrietamiento por tensión ambiental. La presente invención se refiere también a materiales poliméricos que tienen tanto un módulo alto, como una buena resistencia al agrietamiento por tensión ambiental, permitiendo así la reducción de volumen de las partes, y/o el uso de los materiales en aplicaciones nuevas. La invención se basa en el uso de una o más, o incluso la totalidad de las siguientes características: una matriz polímérica de alto peso molecular, una concentración reducida de polímero elastomérico, o métodos que den como resultado un tamaño grande de partículas de goma.
