Abstract

The objective of the present invention is to provide an electromagnetic relay such that heating caused by wear powder generated in opening-closing operation of contact points can be prevented. For this purpose, in the electromagnetic relay, an operation plate which moves back-and-forth with energization of an electromagnetic unit causes a plurality of mobile contact points, which are provided side by side, to contact and separate from a plurality of respectively facing fixed contact points, which are provided side by side. In particular, a shielding plate (85) is disposed between the mobile contact point (57) and fixed contact point (31) of one side, which face each other in a manner such that contact and separation therebetween is possible, and the mobile contact point (58) and fixed contact point (32) of the other side, which face other in a manner such that contact and separation therebetween is possible.
