Abstract

Se describen un método y dispositivo para incrementar la microcirculación en la extremidad inferior. El dispositivo incluye un medio para inmovilizar la extremidad, por ejemplo, un yeso, y un dispositivo de estimulación eléctrica, el cual aplica una estimulación eléctrica a los músculos de pierna opuestos de manera que los grupos de músculos antagonísticos y agonísticos se contraen casi simultáneamente, dando como resultado una contracción casi isométrica.
