Abstract

Un método para calcular saturación utilizando datos mCSEM y modelos petrofísicos estocásticos cuantificando la saturación de agua promedio en una reserva dada la resistencia transversal (TR) obtenida de datos mCSEM, que comprende los siguientes pasos: a)obtener datos de sondeo mCSEM de una región del subsuelo de interés, b) llevar a cabo una inversión de dichos datos mCSEM obtenidos, c) Restar una tendencia de resistividad de fondo de dichos datos de inversión mCSEM a partir de la tendencia de resistividad de dichos datos de inversión mCSEM del interior de una reserva de hidrocarburo, d) calcular la ubicación de una anomalía en los datos de inversión mCSEM, e) calcular la magnitud de la resistencia transversal asociada con una anomalía de los datos de inversión mCSEM, f) calcular una saturación promedio inicial de la reserva correspondiente a la resistencia transversal utilizando un modelo petrofísico estocástico y parámetros de conexión de simulación Monte Carlo de la reserva a la resistencia transversal, y g) integrar la distribución de saturación obtenida como una función de resistencias transversal sobre la distribución asumida de resistencias transversales para obtener un cálculo final de la probabilidad de saturación de fluido.
