Abstract

La presente invención describe el uso de una disal de ácido málico en la producción de una espuma de poliuretano, en donde la disal de ácido málico de la mezcla de reacción que comprende al menos un componente de poliol, un componente de isocianato, un catalizador que cataliza la formación de enlaces de uretano o isocianurato, opcionalmente un agente de expansión, si aplica, que tenga otros aditivos opcionales, se agrega para la reducción de la temperatura de transición vítrea de la espuma de poliuretano obtenida, así como la espuma de poliuretano que tenga una temperatura de transición vítrea de 20°C a 15°C, caracteriza porque comprende disales de ácido málico o los productos de reacción de las mismas con un componente de isocianato, en donde la porción de la disal y los productos de reacción de las mismas con un componente de isocianato que es de menos de 0.08% en peso basado en la espuma de poliuretano.
