Abstract
Se proporcionan métodos generalmente relacionados con la remoción de contaminantes atmosféricos de la fase de gas, así como aparatos, procesos y usos relacionados de los mismos; se proporciona un aparato de depuración de aire de una sola etapa que incluye al menos un recipiente de reacción, al menos un conducto de introducción, y un componente de turbulencia, en donde un tiempo de resistencia es suficiente para permitir la conversión de al menos un compuesto de contaminación atmosférica en al menos otro compuesto, molécula o átomo; en algunas modalidades, al menos un compuesto de contaminación atmosférica comprende óxido de nitrógeno, óxido de azufre o una combinación de los mismos; adicionalmente, se divulgan métodos para remover compuestos de contaminación atmosférica de una corriente de gas residual que incluye introducir una corriente de gas residual y al menos una corriente de gas adicional, corriente de niebla, corriente de líquido o combinación de los mismos en un aparato de depuración de aire de etapa única a una velocidad de flujo suficiente para permitir la conversión de al menos un compuesto de contaminación atmosférica.
