Abstract
La invención está dirigida hacia los métodos y aparatos para detectar de manera precisa la presencia y concentración de un oxidante en una muestra de agua turbia. Este método es muy útil en permitir que cantidades precisas y eficientes (no demasiado grandes ni demasiado pocas) de oxidantes eliminadores de microbios sean introducidas a los suministros de agua que requieren oxidantes, pero que a la fecha no puedan ser medidos de manera apropiada. El método comprende los pasos de: hacer pasar el agua a través de al menos un arreglo de filtros, hacer pasar el agua filtrada hacia un analizador, y luego devolver del analizador una medición de la concentración. El arreglo de filtro comprende al menos un filtro construido y acomodado para eliminar el material inductor de turbidez pero no el oxidante de la muestra de agua. El analizador puede ser un analizador comercialmente disponible, común, que actualmente no puede medir de manera precisa la concentración del oxidante si el agua no hubiera sido filtrada así. Este método permite que los usuarios apliquen la tecnología de medición de oxidante fácilmente disponible a las aplicaciones tales como el agua de molino de papel donde es necesario pero era previamente no aplicable.
