Abstract
Un centro de localización móvil en servicio (SMLC) recibe una petición de posición concerniente a un móvil de interés (MOl) que opera en un modo de transmisión discontinuo (DTX), y en respuesta, un sistema de localización inalámbrico (WLS) se encarga de localizar el MOl. Una pluralidad de unidades de medición de localización (LMU) se instruyen para recibir y digitalizar la energía de radiofrecuencia (RF). En las LMU, se recibe una señal de interés y se realiza una correlación cruzada con una secuencia de entrenamiento conocida para producir una métrica de detección recibida. La métrica de detección se pondera a favor del MOl incluso en presencia de interferencia desde otros dispositivos móviles. El SMLC selecciona la LMU con la mejor métrica de detección ponderada como un sitio de referencia y selecciona dos o más LMU con menores métricas de detección ponderadas por encima de un umbral como sitios cooperantes. La señal recibida de interés se demodula y los datos demodulados se distribuyen a los sitios cooperantes.
