Abstract

Se describe una máquina cíclica térmica que comprende un elemento termoeléctrico de tipo de Peltier (36) usado para enfriar un bloque de muestra (34) y un dispositivo de calentamiento de tipo Peltier (38) para calentar el bloque de muestras. La máquina cíclica incluye también un disipador de calor (28) conectado al elemento de tipo de Peltier por una tubería de calentamiento (40), que permite que se transfiera la energía térmica desde el elemento de tipo de Peltier al disipador de calor. Esta configuración opera más eficientemente que las máquinas cíclicas térmicas convencionales que usan elementos de tipo de Peltier para calentar y enfriar y permite un tiempo de ciclos más rápidos así como la operación en un rango más amplio de temperaturas ambiente. Ciertas modalidades utilizan el elemento de tipo de Peltier como una compuerta térmica para reducir la pérdida térmica durante el calentamiento cuando se apaga el elemento de tipo de Peltier.
