Abstract

Un rotor para una máquina de polo modulado de rotor interior, el rotor configurado para generar un campo magnético de rotor para interacción con un campo magnético de estator de un estator de la máquina de polo modulado, en donde dicho rotor está adaptado para girar alrededor de un eje longitudinal del rotor; en donde el rotor comprende una pluralidad de imanes permanentes dispuestos circunferencialmente alrededor del eje longitudinal, cada imán permanente se magnetiza en una dirección de magnetización para generar un flujo magnético; una pluralidad de miembros de orientación de flujo axial cada uno adaptado para proporcionar una ruta de flujo por lo menos bidimensional para el flujo magnético generado por una respectiva de la pluralidad de imanes permanentes; una estructura de soporte que comprende un miembro de soporte tubular interior dispuesto radialmente hacia adentro de la pluralidad de imanes permanentes; y al menos un miembro de orientación de flujo exterior adaptado para proporcionar una ruta en al menos una dirección radial para el flujo magnético generado por uno o más de la pluralidad de imanes permanentes.
