Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a la identificación y evaluación de secuencias objetivo codificantes y no codificantes para el control de nematodos fitoparásitos inhibiendo una o más funciones biológicas, y su uso; la presente invención provee métodos y composiciones para la identificación de dichas secuencias y para el control de una población de nematodos fitoparásitos; mediante la provisión de una o más moléculas de ARN de doble cadena recombinantes provistas por la presente invención al nematodo, puede obtenerse una reducción en la enfermedad a través de la supresión de la expresión génica del nematodo; la presente invención está dirigida también a métodos para obtener plantas transgénicas que expresan las moléculas de ARN de doble cadena, y las células de la planta y plantas obtenidas por los mismos.
