Un procedimiento para conformar componentes metálicos, preferentemente balísticos, en el cual (a) un primero y un segundo componente (5) caliente en una herramienta de conformación (10) se someten secuencialmente a una conformación y se enfrían en la herramienta de conformación (10), (b) y la herramienta de conformación (10) con el primero o segundo componente (B) que se encuentra en la herramienta o después de extraer el primer componente (B) o antes de colocar el segundo componente (B) se enfría con un agente refrigerante, caracterizado porque (c) el agente refrigerante se aplica sobre la superficie exterior libre (8) de la herramienta de conformación (10) en forma de niebla de rocío (N).
