Abstract

Se describe un aparato para reducir sustancialmente el impulso, velocidad, o ambos de un primer líquido que fluye en un segundo líquido; el dispositivo permite reducir sustancialmente o incluso eliminar los remolinos turbulentos a gran escala que podrían de otro modo producirse por el líquido que fluye en o dentro de un recipiente, por ejemplo en una clarificadora; las placas y los deflectores adecuadamente medidos y colocados inducen cambios en la dirección de flujo en un volumen limitado; cuando el fluido deja este volumen, la velocidad del fluido es baja y la turbulencia está casi o completamente eliminada; muchos de los dispositivos pueden ser colocados en entradas diferentes dentro de una clarificadora individual, y de este modo incrementar además la eficiencia.
