Abstract

La invención se refiere a un dispositivo para el tratamiento de agua que consiste de un tanque de mezclado que comprende una vía de entrada (12) para un efluente que va a ser tratado, una vía de entrada opcional (13) para los reactivos, una fuente de agitación (14) para generar una agitación turbulenta en un volumen dado de ese tanque, una vía de extracción (15) para descargar el lodo, y una vía de extracción (16) para el efluente tratado, y que además comprende por encima y adyacente al volumen dado, pero debajo de la vía de salida del efluente tratado, una estructura de asentamiento (17) que comprende una pluralidad de canales que se extienden desde abajo hacia arriba y que están dispuestos en la forma de una chicana para evitar que las partículas fluyan a través de esa capa a lo largo de una trayectoria rectilínea.
