Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con microorganismos deshidratados recubiertos que comprenden un microorganismo deshidratado rodeado por al menos un recubrimiento, comprendiendo el recubrimiento en peso seco al menos 25% de sales higroscópicas y donde el pH del recubrimiento es compatible con la viabilidad del microorganismo deshidratado. El recubrimiento puede ser parcialmente cristalino, teniendo las sales en el recubrimiento preferiblemente un grado de cristalinidad de hasta 60% una vez aplicada sobre el microorganismo deshidratado. La presente invención también se relaciona con composiciones de recubrimiento líquidas, métodos para recubrir y proteger un microorganismo deshidratado. Finalmente, la presente invención se relaciona con un método para la preparación de productos alimenticios, productos forrajeros, productos para el cuidado de la salud del consumidor o productos agrícolas así como un producto alimenticio, productos forrajeros, un producto para el cuidado de la salud del consumidor o un producto agrícola que contiene esos microorganismos deshidratados recubiertos.
