Abstract

La presente invención corresponde a una nueva cepa de Bacillus subtilis NRRLB-50213 productora de metabolitos secundarios, sustancias bioactivas y enzimas degradadoras. Esta bacteria y/o sus derivados tienen propiedades para formular alimentos funcionales con altos contenidos de almidón y/o harina de soya. Además de inhibir el crecimiento de microorganismos patógenos. Los alimentos funcionales formulados con la cepa NRRLB-50213 y las altas concentraciones de harinas vegetales, tienen la capacidad de generar crecimiento, ganancia de peso y sobrevivencia, igual o mayor a los generales con alimentos que contienen altos contenidos de harina de pescado u otra proteína animal. Incluidos en la invención hay métodos y formulaciones que aumentan el crecimiento, la ganancia de peso y el porcentaje de sobrevivencia, debido a que mejoran y maximizan la degradación y asimilación de los alimentos funcionales formulados a base de harinas vegetales y la cepa NRRLB-50213 de Bacillus subtilis. Aunado a esto, los alimentos funcionales formulados en esta invención, protegen a los animales ya que previenen la aparición de enfermedades provocadas por microorganismos patógenos.
