Abstract
El uso de mezclas de aglomerados finos y mezclas de aglomerados gruesos como materiales de relleno de aglomerados en composiciones de asfalto. Las mezclas de aglomerados finos y las mezclas de aglomerados gruesos se preparan a partir de materiales poliméricos y/o carbonáceos pirolizados que se han refinado hasta obtener mezclas que tienen un tamaño de partículas consistente y afinidad de enlace con los aglutinantes del asfalto. Una composición de cemento de asfalto de conformidad con un aspecto de la presente invención tiene un aglutinante de asfalto combinado con un relleno de aglomerados formado a partir de un material carbonáceo pirolizado. El material de relleno de aglomerados es en general de aproximadamente el 1 por ciento a aproximadamente el 20 por ciento del peso de la mezcla del relleno de aglomerados y el aglutinante de asfalto.
