Abstract

La presente invención proporciona un ensamble de suministro de aire para suministrar aire a un convertidor de calor de energía, el ensamble de suministro de aire comprende una abertura de entrada de aire; una abertura de salida de aire; y un elemento metálico colocado en una trayectoria de flujo de aire entre la abertura de flujo de aire y la abertura de salida de aire, en donde, cuando el aire que fluyó a través del elemento metálico se utiliza para la combustión en el convertidor de energía, se incrementa la eficiencia térmica del convertidor de energía, se reduce el consumo de combustible del convertidor de energía y/o se reduce la contaminación del aire creada por el convertidor de energía. La presente invención también proporciona un método para reducir el consumo de combustible de un convertidor de energía y un método para reducir la contaminación del aire creada por un convertidor de energía, el método comprende hacer pasar aire a través de un elemento metálico y utilizar el aire para la combustión en el convertidor de energía.
