Abstract
La presente invención tiene como objetivo compensar el movimiento a alta precisión aún para una imagen que tiene diferentes características en dirección horizontal y dirección vertical, en tanto que disminuye la cantidad de códigos de coeficientes de filtro cuando se genera una imagen de referencia con la exactitud de imagen fraccional usando un filtro de cada cuadro y es codificado y descodificado con compensación de movimiento. Un dispositivo de codificación de video 20 que crea una imagen de referencia con una exactitud de píxel fraccional para una imagen de video de una serie de tiempo de imágenes de cuadro, al usar un filtro para cada imagen de cuadro y compensación de movimiento, el dispositivo de codificación de video comprende: una unidad de almacenamiento de información de filtro 203 que almacena un filtro usado para codificar una imagen de cuadro en el pasado; una unidad de decisión de filtro 202 que selecciona y decide un filtro a ser usado para codificar la imagen de cuadro actual entre una pluralidad de candidatos de filtro que incluye por lo menos el filtro almacenado en la unidad de almacenamiento de información de filtro 203 y una unidad de codificación de información de filtro 205 que codifica información que indica el filtro electo.
