Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un sistema de extracción y enfriamiento aire/agua y de recuperación de energía para grandes flujos de cenizas pesadas, producidas por calderas de combustible sólido, capaz de reducir la temperatura final de la ceniza extraída, sin incrementar el flujo de aire que entra en el cuello de la caldera, cantidad generalmente fijada por los diseñadores de calderas en un valor alrededor de 1.5% del aire de combustión total. Cuando el flujo de aire necesario para el proceso de enfriamiento excede el flujo máximo admisible en la caldera, el sistema permite que el aire excedente y el posible vapor sean enviados al ducto de humo en el punto más apropiado, gracias a una separación del ambiente de enfriamiento creado por la propia ceniza. La separación de los ambientes del sistema de enfriamiento es manejada automáticamente en base a una señal de temperatura de la ceniza en el tubo de escape del sistema. Si el aire de enfriamiento no es suficiente para enfriar la ceniza, la eficiencia de enfriamiento puede incrementarse añadiendo agua atomizada. El flujo de agua añadido generalmente es dosificado en base al flujo y temperatura de la ceniza a modo de garantizar la evaporación total del agua inyectada, a fin de obtener en el escape, de ser necesario, ceniza seca apta para ser triturada y transportada neumáticamente para ser mezclada con cenizas más ligeras. El agua tiene la gran ventaja, respecto al aire, de permitir un enfriamiento efectivo de la propia ceniza con una cantidad de peso considerablemente menor (en un rango alrededor de 1:100 bajo la condiciones de trabajo aquí consideradas) y luego permite una reducción drástica en el flujo de aire que será enviado al ducto de humo. Esto permite reducir el impacto negativo, hasta hacerlo prácticamente inexistente, que involucra un incremento en la cantidad de los humos para el posible sobre-dimensionamiento de los aparatos y el incremento de la energía necesaria para tratar los propios humos hasta su eyección desde la chimenea (figura 1).
