Abstract

Un procesador opera para ejecutar dos o más conjuntos de instrucciones, cada uno en un modo de operación de conjunto de instrucciones diferente. Cuando cada instrucción es ejecutada, el circuito de depuración compara el modo de operación de conjunto de instrucciones actual con un modo de operación de conjunto de instrucciones blanco enviado por un programador, y produce una alerta o indicación cuando son iguales. La alerta o indicación puede adicionalmente depender de la dirección de instrucción que sigue dentro de una gama de direcciones blanco predeterminadas. La alerta o indicación puede comprender una señal de punto de ruptura que detenga la ejecución y/o su salida como una señal externa del procesador.
