Abstract
Una solucion acuosa de un poliol que contiene una pluralidad de grupos hidroxilo laterales, se combina con un organooxisilano para producir una composicion enlazante hibrida organica-inorganica curable. La composicion acuosa de sol-gel es el resultado de la condensacion entre un silicato generado in situ mediante hidrolisis y condensacion del organooxisilano y el poliol soluble en agua por medio de grupos hidroxilo en los grupos poliol y silanol en el silicato. El enlazante hibrido asi preparado es util para producir productos no tejidos, tales como productos de fibra de vidrio, productos de fibra de poliester y productos de lana mineral.
